MA
2:30 a.m.—the hour when it all ended.
The surge of storms flooded her home.
Thorns grew from words embedded in her bones—
bones she held together, not a single piece broken.
2:30 a.m.—She cared no more.
Thorns, storms, bones—she stepped out from it all,
Lying on that hospital bed, she rests in peace.
2:30 a.m.—eyes that cared no more.
One last look at tears and sadness not her own,
One last gaze at the face of death.
